THE ARCHETYPE

There are structures that persist. Their manifestations, contexts, and languages change, but they retain something recognizable.

Jung understood this recurrence as a manifestation of the archetype: deep structures of the psyche that do not possess a single image and reveal themselves through the forms they take. The mother, the hero, or the shadow are some of them.

This capacity of the image to contain something that precedes it and, at the same time, transform it is of particular interest. The research returns to ways of thinking through which human beings have related the visible to the intangible.
